ISLAMABAD - The alleged Taliban suspects have slaughtered three Afghan musicians in the southern Paktika province of Afghanistan, bordering Pakistan, reports said Thursday.
Three Afghan musicians were found slaughtered on late Wednesday in Paktika province after returning from a musical concert at the military base, manned by the US and Afghan forces, a Pakistani newspaper The News reported. It said the musicians entertained the soldiers and were on way back when caught by the suspected Taliban fighters, adding, no group so far has claimed responsibility.
In a related incident, Taliban suspects have killed 11 Afghan soldiers in an ambush in southern Helmand province, state-run media reports said. They said 10 soldiers and Commander Qayoom Jan of pro-government militia, were on their way to Dishu district when Taliban ambushed with rockets and artilleries, killing them on the spot.
